The Brand and Marketing team at Pacific Science Center wanted to give their magazine a jolt of colorful, fun science for the kids who read it, while providing modern, considered content and design for the adults (young and old) who read it. The magazine needed to serve up the science in an exciting and engaging way, as the previous design felt too corporate and listless (click here to see the "Before" version). In addition to providing a fun, visual jolt, the design needed to be flexible enough so that the PSC Creative Team could then develop all other issues of the magazine. By providing them with a dynamic tool kit of science-inspired patterns, etchings and a strong, yet compelling design structure, Buoyant set the PSC Creative Team off and running in their quest to inspire the next generation of science-loving folk in Washington.
