Office for Mac 2004 Visual Guidelines

Previously, the Mac Business Unit only had the icons and word marks from which to build their marketing materials. We specifically expanded upon the icons, giving them a fully-loaded arsenal of design tools. From icons, capsules, even "sleds," these elements provided vendors a rich and eminently useful design language. Their ad agency McCann/Erickson, commented that these were some of the best guidelines they had worked with.
