A little bit Microsoft. A little bit Apple. The new design for Office:mac 2004 had to express the thoughtfully, sleek whimsy that Apple embodies, while maintaining a firm hold of the distinctly elegant and exacting qualities that Microsoft exemplifies. The new form factor stands in the same footprint that all standard software boxes share, while breaking dramatically from the norm. In addition, it can be stacked so that the bottom capsule side becomes an equally magnetic face to the consumer.
